Is there any place on the INTERNET to get a copy of a mixture of
Open Lands, abandoned mines, active mines and filed only mines all on one map?

looking for help on the website www.mndm.gov.on.ca/mines/lands/claimap3/default_e.asp. Alienations and Dispositions. Maybe just a breif discription .I know they are untouchable but why? Also is the website good enough to claim an area or do i need to buy one from mining office? I am starting off with a 4 tag claim I think is 400mx4oom.Im young and dont have many prospector friends My area has many new mines starting and im just trying to make money for my family so any advice is good advice .. Thank you Aaron Cox

Go to the MNR Website. You Can download maps onto google earth with many different layers. Existing mining claims, abandoned mines, etc. Interactive so you can also bring up the claim and see the drill results, dates when claims were not renewed. Lots of good info if you dig deep enough.

before you do any prospecting you might wana do the free exam for your mining awareness program it will provide alot of info and its free. it required to get your prospectors licance. as a hobby you dont need one but theres a fine line between hobby and collecting gold.. if you have your MAAC number after your exam the mnr wont bother to much but your required to let them know where your panning under the act the eaxm took me 8 mins to do on line and they give you a number when it is completed.. here is the map site www.mndm.gov.on.ca/en/mines-and-minerals/applications/claimaps Carlo Castrechino MNDM/Publication Sales 933 Ramsey Lake Rd., Level A-3 Sudbury, ON P3E 6B5 705-670-5691 705-670-5770 (fax)

keep in mind you can pan for gold on a claim as long as your panning on surface but your better off getting permissions or call Mnr and check maps for claims steaked,,
can anyone provide more info on using a sluice box
